Carey Lee is our Green Nurse in Iowa. She is a cannabis nurse and patient, advocate, and a restorative nurse. After 25 years out of high school, a mortgage career, marriage, kids, and a dog named Cooper; she went back to school and graduated magna cum laude as a RN. Carey Lee has 3 years of nursing experience served in the ER, skilled nursing facility as a charge nurse, and is now a restorative nurse.
Carey Lee is a member of the American Cannabis Nurses Association, the Cannabis Nurses Network and is a mental health advocate. Carey Lee’s focus in Iowa is to break the stigma surrounding cannabis by bringing awareness about the science that backs up this versatile plant. She educates about the endocannabinoid system and the safe effective use of cannabis. Carey Lee also assists patients through the process of obtaining their medical cannabis certifications. Carey Lee has experience in the areas of depression, anxiety disorders, seasonal affective disorder, CPTSD, insomnia, dementia and chronic pain. She believes in the use of whole plant based medicine, plant based diet, moving your body, and consistent spiritual practice which are key components of an individual’s self-care routine.
Carey was born and raised in the Midwest, with deep roots in St. Louis, Chicago, and now Iowa. She is ready to serve and help patients achieve optimal health and relief from this wonderful plant we know as cannabis.
